Am 06. und 07.12. findet das internationale Netzwerktreffen für das EMBRACER Projekt in Rom statt. Gemeinsam mit einem Experten für Verkehrsökologie der Stadt Leipzig nimmt unsere Kollegin Deborah Schaudt daran teil.
Im Rahmen des EMBRACER Projekts ist das Aufbauwerk durch die Stadt Leipzig autorisiert, mit dem Mobilitätskonzept „Leipzig – Stadt für intelligente Mobilität“ zu arbeiten. Das Ziel des Konzepts ist die Förderung umweltfreundlicher Mobilität und nachhaltiger Verkehrsentwicklung. Es wurde erstmals 2017 verabschiedet und 2022 in Form von neuen Maßnahmen und Schwerpunkten aktualisiert. Die erwünschte Entwicklung des Konzepts wird vom Amt für Wirtschaftsförderung sichergestellt und unter anderem durch das im Austausch mit anderen europäischen Städten und Gemeinden gewonnene Wissen beeinflusst. Die weitere Umsetzung dieses Konzepts soll perspektivisch einen bedeutenden Beitrag zur Reduzierung von CO2-Emissionen im Verkehrssektor leisten. Darüber hinaus soll die Lebensqualität durch die verringerten Emissionen von Schadstoffen, Feinstaub und Lärm signifikant erhöht werden. Über das EMBRACER Projekt werden konkrete Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Verknüpfung von Verkehrsmitteln und der Verbindung zwischen ländlichen und städtischen Gebieten gefördert.
Beim internationalen Austausch in Rom geht es konkret um die Sicherstellung nachhaltiger Mobilitätskonzepte für die „letzte Meile“ im suburbanen Raum. Im Rahmen des Treffens werden unsere Partnerorganisationen sogenannte Good Practices ihrer Region vorstellen, durch die wir für die Region Leipzig enorm viel lernen können. Die Erkenntnisse werden dann in den nächsten regionalen Treffen mit der Stadt und weiteren Stakeholdern besprochen und gewinnbringend für die Region Leipzig implementiert.
The international network meeting for the EMBRACER project will take place in Rome on 6th and 7th of December. Our colleague Deborah Schaudt will be attending, together with an expert in transport ecology from the City of Leipzig.
As part of the EMBRACER project, Aufbauwerk is authorised by the City of Leipzig to work with the mobility concept “Leipzig – City for Intelligent Mobility”. The aim of the concept is to promote environmentally friendly mobility and sustainable transport development. It was first adopted in 2017 and updated in 2022 in the form of new measures and priorities. The desired development of the concept will be ensured by the Office for Economic Development and influenced, among other things, by the knowledge gained in exchange with other European cities and municipalities. The further implementation of this concept should make a significant contribution to reducing CO2 emissions in the transport sector in the long term. In addition, the quality of life should be significantly improved through reduced emissions of pollutants, particulate matter and noise. The EMBRACER project will promote concrete measures to improve the linking of transport modes and the connection between rural and urban areas.
The international exchange in Rome is specifically about ensuring sustainable mobility concepts for the “last mile” in suburban areas. As part of the meeting, our partner organisations will present good practices from their region, through which we can learn a great deal for the Leipzig region. The findings will then be discussed in the next regional meetings with the city and other stakeholders and implemented profitably for the Leipzig region.
