At the final conference of the project “Mining / Hornictví SN-CZ” on September 14, 2022 in Freiberg, the Saxon Upper Mining Office and the Mining Office from the Czech region Ústecký Kraj decided on the basis of further cooperation.
At the event, the project partners from the two neighboring countries were able to listen to numerous impulse presentations from a wide range of topics. In addition, commonalities and possible fields of closer cooperation between the two authorities were discussed.
Finally, the Czech and German miners agreed on a guideline for future cooperation on the topics of mine rescue and digitalization.
The aim of the project was to intensify and sustainably institutionalize cross-border cooperation between the authorities of the Free State of Saxony and the Czech Republic dealing with mining issues in the form of a guideline for cross-border coordination and cooperation in partnership. To this end, the partners have exchanged their different experiences and expanded their knowledge of procedures and responsibilities in the neighboring country.
The project “Mining / Hornictví SN-CZ” is financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of the Saxon-Czech INTERREG cooperation program “Ahoj sousede! Hello Neighbor!” (funding period from 2014 to 2020, co-financing until 2023).
